Each standard tour covers three wine producers and a selection of their labels but can be further customized based on your taste and requirements.
Educational Wine Tours by Tuscan Wine Curator
Our educational wine tours are intended primarily for an audience of wine enthusiasts or catering professionals interested in buying wine – no matter how much – for personal or business purposes.
The winery owners will customize the visit according to your needs and provide all the background information you need to make an informed choice.
This will foster a one-to-one relationship with the staff of the winery, that will allow you to reorder their wines in the future with the peace of mind of knowing and trusting the quality they offer.
What to expect from our Tuscan Wine Tours
The wines presented by each company are emblematic of their production, and visiting three cellars in the same wine zone will allow horizontal tastings to appreciate the subtle variants of the same type of wine coming from slightly different terroirs across the same wine area. In most cases, however, you will also be able to sample a variety of wines of different types, denominations, and aging.
As a bonus, each estate will also introduce you to the cream of their other produce, ranging from extra virgin olive oil, to Vinsanto, and even balsamic vinegar – all flagship products of the Tuscan food culture and agricultural economy.
All our tours include lunch at one of the estates, and additional lighter food tastings at the other estates visited in the same day, as well as all chauffeured transfers from/to central Florence in comfortable, air-conditioned vehicles.
Fully customizable wine tour itineraries and experiences
At the time of booking, you have the option of joining an existing small group of like-minded wine enthusiasts, or to request a fully private (or even tailored) tour.
Some possible customizations include:
- visiting a specific winery of your choice;
- concentrating on just one or two wineries;
- combining up to 3 wineries from different areas (logistics permitting);
- vertical tastings may be possible at some of the wineries;
- multi-day tours (with a 10% discount on published prices).
